The Exit Coach prides itself on the ethical standards it upholds.  In accordance with the International Coach Federation (ICF) requirements, The Exit Coach has established the following guidelines to ensure the interests of both the coach and client are met within the coaching session.

INFORMATION

To commence our coaching process you will be asked to read the following documents:

• Coach Biography
• Client Preparation Kit
• Coaching Practice Pack

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR COACH

We will then have an initial discussion to cover the following at no obligation:

• Coach qualifications, background and experience
• Nature, scope and outcomes of coaching process
• Explanation of what coaching is and isn’t
• Explanation of practice documentation
• Define and refine your 3 primary goals
• Answer any of your questions

COMMITMENT

Once you sign and return the Coaching Agreement and the Client Information Sheet at the initial session, a client file will be opened and we begin our journey with obligations and responsibilities on both sides.  
The Exit Coach will forward via email the following information after our meeting:

• Summary of the Client Coaching Objectives (email body)
• Client Progress Document (MS Word attachment or Google doc link)
• Confirmation of 3 primary goals (MS Word attachment)
• Invoice and Agreement regarding it (PDF attachment)
• Confirmation of next session (date/time)

DISCUSSION

Dialogue is the cornerstone of our partnership success.  The following principles apply:

• Always operate in a professional manner
• Be open and honest about level of coaching skills
• Respect your right to confidentiality
• Avoid dual role conflict
• Avoid accepting money for referrals
• Alert you to the fact that coaching is no longer necessary when necessary
• Honour the coaching profession at all times

SUCCESS

When our partnership ends, the relationship still continues by:

• Contacting you in due course to find out how you are progressing
• Asking if you can be used as a reference (if required)
